How many love notes do we receive in our lives?

Billets D’où is a project of little notes and serendipity. It is bits of poetry created by Laura Davis written on postcards featuring flower photography by Andrea Rees. Together, we are randomly spreading these little notes around Belgium and other places we visit, for you to find. Perhaps you may stumble on one on a train, a park bench, in the pocket of a coat you buy, or maybe even in your mailbox.

This project is simply our attempt to reach out to and connect with those we don’t know, and hopefully trigger a smile, and bring a little bit of joy and beauty to life.

The name of this project, Billets D’où, is a play on words. It sounds like ‘billets doux’ - French for love notes - but by replacing the word ‘doux’ with ‘d’où’, it becomes notes ‘from where’… ?
